Overview
DRB-HICOM University of Automotive Malaysia is a private higher education institution in Pekan, Pahang, Malaysia, established on 2 April 2010 and fully developed from its origins as the International College of Automotive Malaysia. It is owned by HICOM University College Sdn. Bhd., a wholly owned subsidiary of DRB-HICOM Berhad, one of Malaysia’s major automotive and industrial conglomerates.
The university’s mission is to support the automotive industry through industry-relevant academic programmes that blend theoretical knowledge with practical skills, producing skilled professionals ready for employment in automotive, engineering, technology, business, and related sectors. It emphasises a “University by the industry, for the industry” approach, supported by its strategic location within the DRB-HICOM Automotive Complex and close ties to industry partners.
DRB-HICOM U offers a range of programmes from diploma to postgraduate levels across the Faculty of Engineering & Technology and the Faculty of Business & Management, with all programmes accredited and recognized by the Malaysian authorities.
